THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!

 Alexis will kickstart the 32nd Annual Downstate Conference with her plenary session, "The Silent Epidemic: Exposing Human Trafficking in Our Communities."

Alexis began her career on the front lines as an anti–human trafficking advocate, providing direct support to survivors while addressing the profound impacts of complex trauma. Her work quickly expanded beyond individual advocacy to systems-level engagement, where she delivered specialized human trafficking trainings to professionals across Illinois, including the Illinois State Police.

She later advanced into a leadership role, directing a crisis response team and strengthening coordinated responses to those experiencing a crisis within the community. Today, Alexis practices clinically, walking alongside individuals as they navigate distress, crisis, and long-term healing in her private practice.
